Newbie and food advise

Hello all, we have recently become the proud owners of a Blue Frenchie pup who still seems very loose. We have had him checked out by the vet who says he is perfectly healthy but the food he has seems to not agree with him. Any suggestions as what is the best food for pups and what's the best way to toilet train him, for the sake of our carpets.
